Audio files - can be used to great effect to provide a mood or feel to a site or to demonstrate some capability not possible with text or pictures.
Some page authors automatically load audio files when you visit their pages. This is considered by the internet community to be poor form, as it takes additional tie to load the page with the audio file imbedded in it and the visitor may not want to hear the audio anyway. Worse still is looping these audio files so they continue as long as you are viewing that page. A better method of deployment is to provide a simple interface where the visitor can play the audio if they desire.
